Grabbed the EP. Nice blend of styles and overall sound. Really enjoying it. Perfect balance of active and chill to my ears. |

I've recently downloaded his Dubwise Mix and was asking myself what Strangers opinion on Homophobia is...
He's moving close towards the Dancehall Scene, and him remixing artists like Vybz Kartel, who is known for his homophobic tracks, leaves my quite uncertain if he's an Artist worth supporting.
I really like his Intergalactic Slapstick Album, but hearing "Burn Dem" on it, i can't help but ask myself who to burn now...
Am i beeing Paranoid here? |

The Stranger is a very tolerant individual and not fearful... homophobes are generally the opposite.
he likes dancehall, but thinks that the production is often very lame. we both think the characters in that scene are pretty unpleasant. i had the joy of trying to clear samples through gargamel music [buju banton's label]. epic fail there. karma's come knocking on buju's door recently with his arrest for four keys of coke and who knows, someone might make him their bitch in prison ? now that would be funny.
check the free track and see what you think of the music ! it is more on the dubby side of dubstep than dancehall.

I've already downloaded it yesterday and it's easily on par with the tracks from his recent album! It's not the music i'm criticising!
But i thought about the implications of remixing artists like Vybz Kartel and if it's not too much credit for this kind of people...

Hey Nextworld, I stumbled upon your post and wanted to ensure you that I am by no means homophobic. In fact, I do not have any political or religious agenda with my music.
Sure, I do like elements of Dancehall music. However, I am not Rastafari, and I certainly do not support Bobo Shanti Rastas, a sect as homophobic as the fundamentalist Christians. I feel the same way with HipHop - I can enjoy some of the music, but I do not subscribe to the pubescent gangster culture.
Cheers!
