hello everybody !!!
We would like to announce that a new record label, Gi'iwa Productions, has
been founded, based in Brisbane, Australia.
Our aim is to release quality, innovative psychedelic trance music from fresh new artists around the world!
Our web site is under construction at the moment but will be up and running very soon!
We welcome artists/projects who arent afraid to experiment and stray from the norm!

Reece, you're a label.... why didn't u hire a domain .... with email @yahoo.com nobody will send u even his recorded grandma with mandoline ....
and you say your site is getting up ... is in in geocities ?

wow guys!, thanx for the trust!
first up, we are young artists from australia who have decided to do this for pure, unconditional love of the music!
no, we are not rich (why i am currently just using my usual email adrress!)
no, our headquarters isnt rented office space - its our HOME, (hopefully u can see why we are reluctant to post contact details on a public site)
no, we are not datrats just trying to screw artists over!
perhaps this is just a cultural difference, here in australia, the response has been very supportive with lots of encouragement, not paranoia or flameing us for taking steps to do what we love!
at the mo. the label is still in its infancy - paperwork, tax forms, fund raising, making contacts etc. - weve never done this before so were learning along the way! yes this will be quite underground, but thats the way we like it!
anyway, thank you to the artists that have already taken the time to mail us personally!

thing is Reece, my friend, what everyones saying is that if you had an email adress at your website, the people would trust you more...
ya see, then they know that they would actually be sending demos to a real record label, or at least to someone with enough money to register a website and their own email, which makes it more likely that theyre a real record label with real intention to release music, rather than someone simply trying to steal their music...
i think this is why people are aprehensive
but i whish you the best of luck, me and a rgoup of friends are also looking at the possibility of establishing a small label at sometime in the future
if you can get the website up, maybe promote a few tracks you already have signed, then people out of australia will be more welcoming to ya. |
