Here is the local psytrance calendar:

Yes, it covers New Jersey, too.

buddy, newark is less than an hours train ride to NYC, and i think NYC has one of the best psy scenes... philly is also not far away, and there is a very intimate scene there as well...

Music scenes in New Jersey have an D.I.Y. "Do It Yourself" approach. This is true of Psytrance too.
Newark, Harrison, and parts of Jersey City have plenty of old industrial lofts that are used by artists and musicians. For example, there was an old tobbacco warehouse in downtown Jersey City that was converted into an Artist's Colony and used for trance parties. Check out some pics from a party in 2004.

Also, you have the Pine Barrens Wilderness nearby in Central and Southern New Jersey, the largest intact piece of undeveloped land on the Northeast seaboard. All you need is a soundsytem, some djs, a mixer, generator and a van. Here are some pictures.

There are also plenty of bars, restaraunts, and cafes that would be cool with having a trance party at.          "They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security"
