hmm i think i can help you.
im not long in the business too, maybe 1 or 2 year work with fl, but not much time

cut frequenzies: with the synth you use for Lowpass / Highpass / Bandpass. For EQing use Parametric EQ 2 in the mixer

vsti mean virtual studio instrument (which (or wich?) are better known as SoftSynths, Synthesizers), vst's (without i ) are effects for the mixer..

for dark fullon take vanguard to start

Hi, and welcome...

1: Load an EQ into a mixer channel, assign the desired sample, vst etc to that channel and tweak the EQ.

2: VST = Virtual Studio Technology
VSTi = Virtual Studio Technology Instrument
Meaning that a VST is a plugin that can modulate sound, but not act as an instrument.

3: Try searching on this forum, alot of great info on vst's... I prefer Albino, nexus, blue and z3ta. But it's all about taste...           www.xun.dk / myspace.com/xundk

Just go to the image line homepage, log in if you have to, should not have to when connecting directly through FL and check out the mass of tutorials...
once you know the basics you can start experimenting with it. And that's when the real fun begins!           Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:
