also about the production,i wish it was better ! some goa balanced like 2011 production i m sure it would work great, but dont trash the hardware gears lol imo it s a part of the goa sound. (maybe they do this for the spirit and use same production style i can understand that) |

Why? Does my opinion really count? Why not get feedback from those who still think this scene has anything to offer or are still active in this scene as artists/listeners/dancers It's nothing personal but honestly I don't see why my opinion is interesting

It's as interesting as mine is, which is why I've not given my opinion at all Anyway you've given your opinion on many tracks already in this thread, surely one more won't hurt? Especially as your opinion has been requested by the artist himself.

Well as I wrote I am not into this scene any longer who who cares

Well, now it counts a little less. Keep wasting my remaining respect for you as an artist and as a person. Take care

i listened more tunes and i find they lack the magic touch... or maybe it s nostalgia ?sometimes ti hear exaclty the same patchs but it sound coming out of software or modern synth, so a part of the magic is not there imo it sound fake... and often the music is lacking the magic you find in oldschool goa , amazing melodie and arrangement...goa was made by muscians who discovered electronic instruments , it s different school and it show when listening a lot of this neo goa .i like it but often it make me think to dark psy |

well for me it sounds like it wanna be...
for me very few artists are worth and not coz they are neo goa , but only beucase its really cool...basicly the same for all other subgenre of psytrance...
but i think the problem of neo goa( if there s a problem) is how can u cook real japanese food if u never been in japan...
everybody can read in the internet how to cook it but the most delicious and original will be in soemone who had this experience...
that said.. imo the best neo goa artists are the ones that have been in touch with goa psytrance culture...
still if we stop bein so bumers and judgers everything s cool...
even alien jesus..
point of view s funny...
i ve been seein around this forum , users that pray all around it that loves full on but hates cheese, sayin that I WISH from INFECTED MUSHROOM was fuckin cool and last no cheese track/album from infected mushroom ... o_O
go figure...
in the end are just ur ears......

Uhh...
PRETTY SURE that a lot of the people who made the 'real authentic' goa trance have never been to Goa, India.
Not saying that that physical location doesn't have some place in the history of the scene...
but saying that you can't make real goa trance if you've never been to goa (which is what I believe you are implying) seems extremely silly to me.

geez... grow up kid.... there are more interestin things to do than tryin to pick arguments over the internet...
imo everyone can make japanese food...
but someone who studied with the japaneses will surely have my preference
everyone can make goa trance...and it can sound cool and nice but someone who have been in goa parties in the past wherever it was i think are more capable of bringin this oldschool goa feeling... in the neo goa genre IF thats even their goal..
and im quite sure that most if not all of the goa trance artists from the past have been in a goatrance party before startin producin such genre. otherwise they wouldnt even know it existed...considerin goatrance parties was what psytrance was for a long time before full on even existed... be it in israel or india or germany or wherever...

Multiple times you have referred to me as a child on this forum, I wish you would stop it.
I am not trying to pick a fight, I simply think that what you are saying is incorrect and I have a couple of reasons for thinking so. Your position by the way does not improve when you repeat the same exact thing three times without further expanding upon it .
Your japanese food thing tends to make me think that you are saying that without having gone to Goa, India you cannot make 'real' goa trance.
If you were attempting to say that people need to have attended a party playing goa trance to make goa trance, I still disagree with you as that doesn't make sense - though I agree that once it got going new people came into it through exposure to the scene.
What about the first person to make goa trance?
I don't know any oldschool goa artists personally, so I can't say with certainty who has been where. However, I think I remember reading that Simon Posford, who I consider to be a huge part of the Goa sound, had never been to India until quite recently.
Kristian, Colin, what do you guys think? Ever been to Goa? Need to go to a goa trance party in order to make Goa music?
If I had to wager a guess, I would say that the reason the old goa stuff sounds so unique and has such a special place in history is because a large portion of the people making music in that time were musicians first and foremost before getting into electronic music and there was a surge of new technology pushing the boundaries of what was possible....a lot of the Goa stuff from back in the day was a lot more 'musical' to my ears than what is considered psytrance today.
Oh, and also many people were using hardware analog, much of which was custom, whereas these days many people use the exact same tools. If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe
