Download this live from

I am curious what you will comment this sound as whole concept or track by track.
Thank you

I am not going to download without having the choice to listen before I download and beside that I listened to some of the tunes on the myspace page. And I basically came to the same conclusion as those youtube clips I commented on. Its a nice production but the music is so 90's with nothing new to offer IMO.

I am happy to hear new music but please I am not going to listen to every single suggestion you guys got. But if you suggest something truly different then go for it
And beside that I am not here to justify your taste

P.S. In the Biography it says:

Jeal-Michele Jarre. It should be changed to Jean Michel Jarre           www.beatagency.dk

Kristian - given that 'taste is taste', I think it would be nice for this thread if - now that you've told us what your taste is and how much you disagree with everyone else's taste - you stop giving us your opinion all the time and let others who might have a differing opinion discuss things in their own way, without thinking that you're just going to shoot them down. You are not the arbiter and final decider of what is 'good' and 'bad' taste; we all know exactly where you stand ("there is nothing new in any 'new-school goa'") so: thanks for your opinion, now let others have space to feel that they are right too           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering

Last try to argument about your generalising "thing": you said that new age goa was too fast and astral projection and etnica influenced... That's a generalisation, and unrespectful IMO because you put everybody in the same pot.
I undestand that you don't think that there is something new, but that was not what you stated there. From your own words, there is also 140 bpm "new age goa" (stupid term IMO) and artists like Artha influenced by Hallucinogen.

I'm not fighting you, but would like to see you not getting into this generalisation thing. About taste, you know I like your music.

Moving on, about the "new" factor, I'm put myself on the line and throw a few links of my own, prepared for the bashing
Just because I know I'm not copying anyone or trying to fit any style, just giving my own thing to the world

Thanks for your lecture/preach and opinion Colin. It's always a pleasure to be told what I should do and not do from you. Especially seen in the light you did not participate in this debate at all

But right has to be right. I have nowhere said I am "arbiter and final decider of what is 'good' and 'bad' taste". That's your twist. If you had been bothered to read the posts you would see I get asked about my opinion. And I merely answered two people who asked for my personal opinion. And I answered back politely and HONEST. BIG difference.

So again thank you for your wise preach           www.beatagency.dk

Do I care if it sounds like something you heard in 1997? No.

IMHO, Filteria, Khetzal and Artha write good music. Again, regardless of how it compares to the "classics".

This. Subra/Artha/Cronomi Records in particular is kicking ass - though sometimes some of the tracks on their compilations go WAY overboard on the cheese factor...like that Portameno track about humans with the fucking STUPID Futurama samples. God I've heard Zoidberg and Fry WAYYYYY too much - it's so overdone :\

Anyways - not New-Goa but if you're looking for something inspired by Goa but with a very different take that's EXTREMELY musical and psychedelic get yourself some Terrafractyl. New album coming soon on Vertigo!

It's rare to see something that's inspired by the old goa sound but does something unique with it as opposed to trying to recreate in a derivative way. Artha/Terrafractyl are the embodiment of this for me right now.           If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

The problem is not that "there's nothing new in neo Goa". It's that it doesn't really sound like some of the GOOD Goa trance in 90's did (when it was genuine).

See this is just the over-produced, melodic and commersial astral projection crap that I'm talking about.

A MESSAGE TO ALL NEW GOA ARTIST: ERASE ASTRAL PROJECTION FROM YOUR MINDS AND GET SOME INSPIRATION FROM MINIMAL, HYPNOTIC, SPIRITUAL, REAL GOA TRANCE GEMS LIKE THESE INSTEAD:

None of the new goa tracks posted in this thread so far (except for my original Izzumm/Khooman post and Xamanist's 2009 tracks) are psychedelic/trance-inducing at all! Why? Mainly because they are over-produced and MELODICK!!! (full-on pun intended there)
Psychedelic trance is all about the hypnotic rhythms.. remember that!

I have to agree with Kristian, his reviews of those videos couldn't be clearer. Errr, Colin, you're suspect of defending these Neogoa cheese tracks, as you yourself have written some tracks that goes down well with a MacBurger or a fondue. eheheh.
