So far I have only found 3 artists who have made old school-sounding Goa trance: Odd Gravity, Khooman and Izzumm...

Are there any more?

No, but it sounds like 90's Goa trance.

Good atmospheres , Not realy Goa , More Ambiantic clannish/ethnic music (Kind of 'Anigma' - Those monks band
from the 90's) , Goa loops/Pads/leads/Order and built is different for sure , Couldt find any connection .

The music may cool and enjoyable but as Disco Hooligans already said the mix
is very bad (Think Disco Hooligans was to polite) - I will say horrible .

This wasn't supposed to be a review of the free Khooman and Odd Gravity albums or the Izzumm track.
Can someone recommend an artists who has made new Goa trance that sounds like oldschool/90's Goa trance?

Sure, but the question I have is : do you want recommendations for this kind of sound? Or Goa sound? As to the review, I agree with C C and D H ... yeix thats nasty...           Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:

I just don't like overproduced astral projection-like neo goa, if you know what I mean.

Neo goa is a blurred copy of goa. No revolutionary artist and his music was heard so far. All of them make ultra-fluffy-sweet goa. You hear one, you have heard all of them.

Isn't that a bit too generalist? Maybe you have to listen to more           Sérgio Xamanist

And if we have listened carefully and still think the same?

I 100% agree that all the new so-called Goatrance has one reference only. Melodic fast Goatrance. And that's OK if this "movement" want to stay inside that Box. But Goatrance was so much more and I personally miss artists who will go outside that Box and create their own sound and experiment a heck lot more. This would bring the music forward instead of copying the past.

I also strongly believe that there should be a lot more quality control in that movement. But then again they would not have much to release as there aren't many into making this kind of music. But it does not suit them to release badly produced and IMO mediocre music in 8/10 releases.

This is not to point fingers but a sincere wish that the new movement would mature and move beyond the "I want to sound like a mediocre copy of Astral Projection or Etnica". Then I am sure it could become a very innovative and forward looking movement. As it is now I feel it's not looking at the future but is stuck in the past.          www.beatagency.dk
