That new OSC protocol seems cool and nice, but is it possible to convert it to midi in order to get it working in, lets say, SX ? Or do something so SX can accept OSC?

Also, it might sound stupid, but does this work only in a dark room ?           http://triplex.trance.net

Absolutley amazing idea.

Since it seems to be a LCD touchscreen I don't see why it would only work in a dark room, LCD screens generally seem to work fine in lit conditions.           (``·.¸(``·.¸(``·.¸¸.·`´)¸.·`´)¸.·`´)

found this...

LEMUR is NOT a MIDI device. It includes a built-in100 BaseT Lan interface which can be directly linked to the host computer ethernet port. The protocol used to exchange data is OpenSoundControl (OSC). Compare to MIDI, OSC is much more efficient, convenient and reliable. Among other advantages, OSC has the following features : 32-bits precision, no additional hardware interface, no latency, simple specification and easy setup. At last, several LEMUR and computers can be linked together using a basic hub.

sounds interesting, but i dont think it will catch on because it does not support midi. also... the ethernet port? an interesting idea.

As it is written on the website it works fine with programs such as Max/MSP/Jitter, Reaktor, audiomulch, Sonasphere, Pure Data, SuperCollider.

Why would you use it with cubase SX?not raccomanded for live sessions anyway.

I think it will catch on with anyone currently using or interested with the above mentioned prgs.

The only thing it scares me is......the price ;-)
