There is a big difference between an artist asking for a "booking fee" and them saying that they need their transportation/accommodations covered by the organizer. As far as I'm concerned, they're both completely valid requests on behalf of an artist, especially an international act. But even in the most "charitable" types of gatherings (such as past free Gemini Festivals), covering transportation is usually a bare minimum.
By the way this isn't aimed at all at the organizers or any of the artists. This is more of a direct response to the previous post.

Never asked for any artist Fee or such, It was a transportation only arrangment.
The organizers were happy to tell me that they will be able to transport me from New Jersey, but when I tried to re-confirm all final details, the flying tickets were an issue. That's all.

Going to be a really good festival for sure, with an event of such magnitude of work, things sometimes don't fall in the right place, it's normal and human.

Thre are no ins and outs. Once your in, your in. The only time you will get to go anywhere is on the shuttle to the river where the swimhole is or to the store. No one can drive their personal car in and out during the show.
And as for walking around, I don't indorse it. This is California in Mendocino County. Please stay in the venue or you will meet up with unhappy land owners who don't want you on their land. Things could get real nasty! Bom |

haha just bring a bus seat and put in the in middle of the dancefloor and strap me in, i'm so there all weekend lol
