I happen to like Franti's work quite a bit. I'll be the first to admit that he sold out for the popular sound long ago, but the man consistently carries a positive and uplifting message in his music.
While Maux mocks him now, he was at one point quite experimental and making "music" for art's sake. I guess it happens to the best. Maybe we'll get a CD from Maux in 2019 with 2007 style breaks on it.
On a side note, I did pick up Don Quixote from the library today. thanks for the suggestion.

I do agree with u darling.
the disposable heroes of hiphoprisy album (produced my mates from Consolidated and Meat Beat Manifesto) was a masterpiece.
(Jack Dangers told me at that time that he never saw the royalties tho).
I actually collaborated with that proj and played with them live at the Melkweg in Amsterdam in the far 1994.
but...mamma mia...all his recent stuff is mormonic.
ps.for the notice...I have been the one who made discover breaks to mr Gaudi (in those 2007 days while he was still a chill dub hero)...and played to him the first tunes of Rogue Element and Tom Real (who is guest in this album)...so...somehow it's my fault....ehehheheheheh.

My favorite song off that release. Not sure of you're serious, but if you did collaborate/played with them, I'm envious. DHoHH, Consolidated, and MBM were creating some amazing stuff in back in the late 80's to mid-90's.
Eh. Now I'm all nostalgic. :/

yep..serious...
I was part of an italian band named Technogod in the 90's...we did supporting act for MBM, Consolidated and Young Gods in many european tours...and collaborations and remixes.
at the Melkweg we did a megajam with DHoHH, Consolidated, MBM, Bomb the Bass and Keith Le Blanc.
...I am nostalgic too now.
ps. MBM probably invented in 1989 what this days we call breaks !

Nice! I used to have some of your stuff through tape trading (The original piracy!). Suppose I should pay up for that album now and some 15 years or so interest.
Dusting off a lot of oooold CDs now. Retro day.
