Nice kick bass relationship, the intro was subtle but still effective (and it doesnt really matter if you mix anyways but..).

The 'pitched' sounds that come in just after about halfway are well articulated. I've always had a problem with this, not making them, but sequencing them nicely.

The only thing I would personally improve on is puting more emphasis on the 'rising' and 'downing' effects. They didnt seem to do justice on transfering into the next stages of the song. Or create enough anticipation, wich is essential for the relentless building/droping you generally see in fullon. I dunno what you call them, uppers/risers downers/hit/stabs you get the idea... anyways.

Thanks for the comments guys! Yeah perc could use some more variations- something I think I did better in the fullon track I made after this one.

Rising sounds could stand out more, definitely something to consider esp with this style.           http://soundcloud.com/ascensionsound

Two thumbs up.

Soundforge is dope for making uppers (and fx in general), since you can easily reverb then reverse, add mods, reverse then reverb again, add more mods, reverse then reverb etc etc. or import it into your daw at any stage for more complex vs time automations. then re-import into sf, etc

Pitch bending is essential mod for uppers/rizers (but unless your doing it linear, it can be hard to determine the resulting length you're after (wich matters for the song, but you can always pitch it to fit the number of bars/beats you want, or just chop it to size for the particular bpm related length).

Creating FX through chains of transformations can get very complex and therefore overwhelming, so keep save's at each stage you fancy incase you go a direction that is undesireable, then you can go back, or even if you get a nice result, go back to eariler stage and just try different directions etc etc.

All intuitive mumobo jumpo you probly get, im just on a rant...

Yeah definitely. I just do everything inside ableton since it's a pretty easy program to do that in too.           http://soundcloud.com/ascensionsound
