Hi there,

I have developed and uploaded a new VSTI synth geared towards making trance just this last week, It has some really neat features, you can currently download it for free here:

http://infinite-dimensions.co.uk/free_vsti_soft_synth.php

It has 12 Oscs, 3 main and 9 back up oscs for unison detune which you can 'mix' against the 3 main ones. It also features a really nice FM envelope, which (not unlike the access virus) is able to create a nice percussive punch or click to the beginning of a sound, making it sound more analog for basslines. The FM envelope is also great for making some wild sound fx. The LFOs will speed up to tremendous rates, plus a big pitch envelope that works across all the oscs! Reason I built it was to satisfy certain criteria I wasn't finding in other synths. I hope you enjoy it, let me know what you think!

nice one mate!!

easy to tweak your owne sounds and not a cpu hog like many synth edit synths!

good sound i like it for bass and the unison detune osc's make some HUGE leads good work man!!

i would like some more presets though but... we can add some !

now after some tweaking i can say that playing a chord (3 notes) makes my cpu 100% and freezing for 20-30 seconds ! (unison de. osc not active)

osc's dont have octave changer

not much modulation cappabillities(that is limiting patch creation)

thats all for now

ok, well it is a fairly basic synth at the moment, i am thinking of developing a few more synths with slighly different features like pwm, portemento, velocity control etc. The beauty of keeping it simple is the cpu efficency, and I like to think of it more like using a particular tool to create a certain sound, rather than having one tool that just does everything.

The GUI could do with some more work I guess but it does its job and really the important factor was on creating the sound not the look, I will produce some more skins for it in time once it becomes a higher priority.

Orange-atropa posted some problems which we discussed and believe it could be related to the fruity loops vst wrapper in combination with a samplerate setting of 48000khz, If anyone has any problems similiar to this please let me know and I will see what I can do to fix it

Cool, ill check this one later.

Btw the gui is an important factor of the subjective quality, so if it is a top-notch gui people will be more impressed by the sound even if it sounds the same with an ugly guy (i say ugly to show what i mean, ur gui isn't really ugly but could be improved).

Just gonna give it a go right now

GUI does'nt really matter - its a free synth, aslong as it does what its supposed to, and does a good job at it - I don't see a problem. Maybe other people could make skins and contribute them - combined free software project ?

Thanks for sharing

that would be a great idea, if anyone could help me develop some skins for this synth please pm me or get in touch through my site. Also, I have uploaded a Kick drum synth to the same page also which you may find appealing. Please let me know how you are getting on with it!
