I like the concept, though some of the elements sound a little unbalanced in terms of their level in the mix (the glassy sound in the beginning sounds way too loud to my ears, though it sits fine later when it's shrouded amidst all the other elements). I really like the the kick and the rhythm section in general. The track meanders a bit and some segments feel a little disjointed, but most of it works. I also dig the acid-ish riff that drops around 3:54. Overall, the spirit is certainly there; the arrangement and mixing could just use a little tightening I think.
Edit: Your NIN remix is pretty dope, though I think the ringmod on Trent is a bit much... Maybe blending the original in a bit more might be a bit less "out there". That's really the only flaw, if you could call it that. Of course only you know what you are trying to achieve... Great job nonetheless. A higher bitrate rendering would be sublime ... |

hey thanks so much for your words! You are right about the glassy sound in the beginning, i'm going to try to even that out. as for disjointed, yeah i hear that...I was going for a major transition around 3:30-4:00 min as sort of a theme, like apalala opened pandora's box with the mantra or something hehe. good to know how it is perceived in your first impression though. And the bitrate thing, yeah, totally; i'm considering paying someone to master the tracks as I wouldn't know where to start.
Glad you like the NIN rmx, thats one of my favs. glad you think the vocals might be bordering on too "out there", I was really going for "weird" in hopes that a typical NIN listener might be a little wigged out by the mix
Thanks again!
