New empty Bank in Z3ta+ ?

Hi,
how can I create a new empty bank in Z3ta+ and Cubase? It seems that I can only modify the existing ones (they already contain a lot of presets).

Background: I want to make a liveact. To save CPU-Power I want to load only one instance of Z3ta+ and change presets via Program Change (which seems to be another problem in Cubase... noises and problematic addressing of the correct patch).

For making it easyer to change / address the right presets I want to have a bank that only contains my 4 needed presets. I also hope that the noise-bursts that occur now during the change of presets via program change will disappear.

Thanks in advance and best wishes - martyn

have you checked the rgc:audio forum over at KVR?

rene (the developer who made z3Ta+) posts there... along with lots of other knowledgeable.

Thanks for your help!

Meanwhile I found a workaround for my problem: I saved my new presets in the first 4 places of an existing bank.
I found that Program change in Cubase works
best with an automation track for the VST (!) not the MIDI track. The latter causes noise bursts.

Program Changes even get recorded / written (w button activated) when made from the inspector pane. They are shown in a track called "program list" I think. You can of course also set automation points manually and choose your presets from a list.

Unfortunately this rather nice feature isn't explained in the manual... It might be self-evident for some but not that easy to find out if you don't know.

Best wishes - martyn

There's a "program" button in the lower right pane of z3ta+. In it's menu you'll find an option "initialize".           www.myspace.com/mentris

I found z3ta to be lead synth, for massive leads.. Used to use it for bass but I have other stuff for that now..           http://www.myspace.com/djacidkills

I used it in a lot of my tracks, mainly for leads / chords.

The program changes worked well yesterday in my liveact. One instance of z3ta+ for 4 different patches / melodies, all loaded automatically.

Only one time z3ta+ brought my 1.4 ghz laptop to the knees - when I played the first note of a cpu-sucking stacked patch. But most people didn't recognize it, maybe they thought it was a well planned stutter effect ;-)

Its a lot of fun to play melodies live
