About this project
In the summer of 2006 I traveled out to the west coast of the US under a grant from my university to conduct field research investigating the mysticism of electronic music culture. As an outsider to the scene, I was deeply intrigued to discover that such a deep spirituality existed within this community. Throughout the course of my initial field research I continuously encountered stories of life-changing experiences that were happening on the dance floor at these events. From my previous research into the subject of ancient religions, I questioned if what was being experienced at these parties were in fact tapping the same “sacred” source as shamans of the archaic past. I theorized that if there were some true and gnostic connection between ancient ritual and this contemporary youth phenomena, an intrinsic spirituality would have developed within this dance community. So when I actually discovered that a spiritual movement had awakened within the core of this scene I immediately set out to transform my research, recordings, and explanation into a feature documentary film. For several years I have been working on this project every single day, bringing it to completion. In March of this year I finally finished both the final cut of the film and my book. However there is still a hefty amount of work to be done to get this project ready for the masses. I am using Kickstarter to raise the capital I need for color correction, sound, general promotion of the film, submission fees to film festivals, and finding distribution. I refuse to let these last few financials hurdles keep this film from reaching its audience. This is a well made audio visual experience with a great message. It depicts tribal electronic dance culture as a spiritually nurturing atmosphere. This could help take it out of the negatively shrouded misconception it has has for the mass populas. It needs funding for its final touches. Watch the video, and if you believe in the message,contribute. You get gifts,such as the DVD when it releases for contributing.

nice.. although i see a big miss in the european and pretty much everywhere else scene!
like aussie and israely and south african!
for a good and spherical opinion about the spirituality and mentality of the scene for the sake of a good and full opinion for a documentary, the input of the knowledge into it he must gather info from the big and pretty much the begginers of it.
since this thing is tight to goa and india alot i see a big miss there also.
my view is that a documentary about electronic music and psy trance in general should be alot more researched and analyzed than just the american scene wich is new compared to the rest of it!
