Did anyone else watch the episodes last night? Truly mind blowing stuff. I'm liking this better than Planet Earth already.

Yep watched it loved it.

My take is:

The narration of Sigourney Weaver in Planet earth is waaaaay better then Oprah, Oprah's voice actually started to annoy after an hour and a half.

The shots in Life are beyond understanding while Planet earth had some shots like Life, Life delivered amazing ones each scene.

Can't wait for more, truly amazing TV (if there is such a thing it is Life and Planet earth.)

Yeah, David Attenborough's narration on Planet Earth is way better Sigourney, too.

I agree I think David Attenborough's narration was best. I actually muted Oprah after about 15 minutes of frustration and just had some music on. I think my biggest problem with Oprah was that she did a really awful job at making me feel like she maybe knew what she was talking about. Especially when she would go into cute little tidbits/jokes about what was going on. It was like listening to nails on a chalkboard. But yes I thought the shots were absolutely astonishing.

Yeah Oprah may not be the best voice, but the writing is good at least. It's so cool to learn these amazing things about animals that live on the same planet as us.

They're supposed to be coming out with Frozen Planet sometime within the next couple years too. It's going to be all about the poles.
