Short Answer :
You're in the right direction and have a decent idea about what you're doing.
Long Answer :
The song lacks something consistent (background pads, etc.) The trumpet/brass sounds aren't done too well, and the song generally needs revising..if you're going for this style, i'd take in some good dub influences. It's in the right direction, but needs some work and doesn't sound TOTALLY professional..
