For me, ADU (Finnish artist) picks up where MOS left off.
Similarities: Big and heavy trance sound, with intelligent music and badass percussive elements. And just for the fact that I feel the same energy from them.

Anyone else notice this with favorite new artists?

Afgin's album on Suntrip clearly picked up from Astral's Another World Sound, although Another World album still is a zillion times better. Artifact303 album also to me sounded heavily like AP around Dancing Galaxy time.

Filteria's first 2 albums are obviously a heavy pick up from he early Etnica sound, maybe also Peleidians (not sure of spelling).

Sensient's early work to me seemed to be heavily influenced by the sound on Intact Instinct's first album but at that time I was at his home studio & he said he had never heard II first album though when I played it he said he could hear similarities.

Artha has picked up some similar sounds to Hallucinogen, but to me does not really work as well (could be my feelings than sound though).

I am wondering where people would say I have picked up... because I can't think of any artist who makes music like me... some people told me Deedrah, but I disagree with them...           Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:

I try to blend early 2000 Scando and German Prog with a somewhat more modern context.. with my limited skillset..           http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/stereofeld-frequenzwechsel

Not talking about me: I think Nectarios does a very good job in keeping up the original psytrance feeling of that same area with his own distinct handwriting to it. Proper banging shit.           http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/stereofeld-frequenzwechsel

Well cheers for saying that, but I feel my music is a blatant rip off of old riffs I grew to love over the years from the likes of X-Dream, Logic Bomb, Manmademan, MWNN, Etnica...etc.

I just record a lot of extra shit in there to throw dust in people's ears so they won't tell straight away

Some of Silly Twit's tracks have that old school Goa vibe but with big forest squelches. This track utterly destroys. <3

the only artist that clearly comes to my mind is Artha. He picked up the style of Hallucinogen and developed it into a new level.
Most artists sound the same (or to be more polite they sound very similar to eachother) so the list could be almost endless, but this one is worth mentioning here IMO.

You're very welcome! I love this album so much and play it whenever I need to feel strong in body and spirit. It is timeless for me. A true classic.
How I would love to hear this on a big system under the stars!

Kalumet seems to have the same power and colorfulness, for me it is the mixture of all the good things what happened in the golden era of psytrance.
