Me too. Arabesque are really good suppliers - I've bought more than 50 CDs from them and only once have they failed to deliver the day after they received the order (and then it was the day after that). Good prices as well, most CDs are £6.99.
I highly recommend them to people who have never used them, just order through Amazon UK.

^^I ordered mine at about 21:00 yesterday so they wouldn't have got the order until this morning. I should get it tomorrow.
BTW I haven't got any connection to them - but they are definitely my favourite Amazon Marketplace supplier.

Lost its melodic charm for me i am afraid, people who like more poppy songs will like it but the album has definitely gone down a different direction from the first one. |

i see abakus as a different thing, it falls into that category of easy going psychedelic music that is simply unbeatable during tropical summers...
i listen to sick, annoying, brain-dependant tunes all year long and i love it... but thats the kind of stuff that lets my head rest a bit and just enjoy those orange sunsets, shagging my lady and smoking my puro bahianos.
it evens have some trancy poperô ones that i can pump at the back of my car and maybe score a beer from the purple people walking by.
summer daze, damn i was needing it...

From the first listen I really didn't get into this album. I didn't expect an album like "That much closer..." but I miss the vibe of tracks like "California Sunshine" which really touches my heart.
Maybe it will grow on me, but to be honest I don't think so after my first impression.

It is different type of album, it is different style of label, undoubtedly...
But things change in life Dopese...people change...and nothing stays same as it used to be years back....when it does, I guess it becomes boring and old (anyway, just my thoughts on it)..
I embrace the change and I also love the new album more then the previous one I must say.... |

after 2nd prelistening it sounds even more promising to me...
It`s interesting, that this new album is closer to his side project THE LIGHT, then to the previous Abakus album ... which I have no problem with, even so I also liked the first album (but I did not like, that it had no good story through the album, good tracks but the album for me just was a collection of that tracks)
this easy going music reminds me on my first lil psychedelic experience, btw ...
thumbs up from me! |

high quality and beautiful music here..
totaly different of 'That much closer' that we all love.. and it a miss, cuz we waited long time for more music in that style..
but, the guy is movin on with da music and style.. let him do what he do the best - quality music.

I accept the change and it's good that things don't always stay the same. I think it's important for an artist when he evolves (or changes) his style, otherwise it will become boring over the years.
The new sound is just not my cup of tea, it doesn't have anything to do with the quality and production of this album.
