Somme one use it, just to pass the audio there???
Opinions from users are welcome What we gain by doing that???
We can compress and eq in that channel strip but 2500 for one channel is a little too much, only if that do miracles...lol
The porpose is only for my productions not for mastering or studios....
And the emulation of UAD???
Thanks guys

2500 euro for one chanel it s too expensive imo and there is lot of choice in that price range , i would check all the options ( for that price i would go for something that have 2 chanels a comp or a preamp or maybe a second hand analog desk could be nice too), you need some ok converters too if you haven t. about the uad i bet it s not even close but for the price ...
you should ask at gearslutz or if you can try in a store, i never listened to it but i heard some neve emulation or inspired preamps and it have a nice color, dunno how to say but it can sound "creamy " |

i was courious because that...how much better the sound will be???
How much i can gain to make the sound pass in a good analog mixer or in a analog compressor etc...Ok...for sure the sound probably wiil be better (if we have good hands)...I never work with analog equip so is a little "confusion"...

not sure we can say better, it ll just sound different , if it s what you are after then it ll sound better for you .for example i was listening a psytrance track with a friend that was processed with maybe 10 000 euros of highend analog gears and he didnt like the sound, for him it was too dirty ,he like more clean sound even if it sound thiner.my point is that it s really a matter of taste ,if you really want to know if it worth it for you ,you have to try it
to me you can gain a lot with hardware but the standar today in psytrance are mix done with plugins, you can great mix like that too |

how do you rate your production? how good are your monitors/interface/room? all these things should be upgraded before you even think about laying down 2500 euro on a single piece of outboard equipment.
the point when it is worth laying down that sort of cash for one channel is when your ITB mixes are completely banging, you've got top notch monitors and converters with a good sounding room, and you're looking for that little something to take your mixes from 95% up to 100.
keep in mind it will also be hugely time consuming to run loads and loads of audio tracks through that channel strip one at a time, and also the fact that it is mono so you can't process stereo tracks or the 2bus.. |
