would a netbook have enough power to run ableton live, just for the portability and size convenience... i am just looking to do something minimal within ableton, for example, create a melody or sculpt a sound... i would not expect it to handle several layers of a complete track, just playing around with ideas. would something like this do the trick?

ive heard of live 7 run on a netbook with quite a bit more htan just a sound or 2 I think its possible as long as the CPU is fast enough, sufficient RAM, and as much Windows bells and whistles turned off as possible. win7 i guess is better than XP was in that regard, but these http://www.tarekith.com/assets/XPTweaks.htm are still good tips. Its written for XP but most of the features are in win7 also.           .
