ya probably uve never even heard the music from most of the names i put. everyone hs their own opinioon about psychedelic music. and btw dark it doesnt mean thast it has to scare ppl away,. ppl cxan still listen to dark and enjoy but yes it has to b psychedelic. and man Zik is definitely not producing morning sunrise music at the moment for sure lol.

 yeah , quite true
and woopaa not gettin into any debate , hehe..
generally speaking .... some of these artists in the line up are night time musicians ( considering which part of the globe they play ), but its not dark n black what they want to create . its always about the psychedelic visions . patterns n fractals n vortex stuff , which is always heavy on the mind and our thought process-es

dark is all about the new bee labels releasing 160-200 bpm tracks n calling it dark , some screams , and howls , woahh , dark is created ..
actually the artists i was referring to are all high quality psychedelic musicians.... who make music in the first place to put the listeners into trance rather than scare them away .
and its true as i myself have quite a few artists friends , who different modes of thinking for sure but the first motive is always to take the listener into a hypnotic zone and that can only be induced with good rhythms and patterns ... these rhythms n patterns are all musical , it should be fun to listen to them.... rather than get scared : )

 its about the music

n debate , we will leave it to our tripped out politician freaks=)

 all good n
 Full Boom

I still dont know why u bitching about ppl calling music in different names...

Nicolas Udall, in his Apophthegmes, that is to saie, prompte saiynges. First gathered by Erasmus - translated 1542, has:

"Philippus aunswered, that the Macedonians wer feloes of no fyne witte in their termes but altogether grosse, clubbyshe, and rusticall, as they whiche had not the witte to calle a spade by any other name then a spade."

or if you want the actual greek saying

"ta syka syka, te:n skaphe:n de skaphe:n onomasein"

Leave the naming and classification to ppl for whom the questions "what?" matters

For me there are far important questions like "Where?" , "When?" and of course "Why?"

@ Transcendentalist -- if u find my sensible debate as some sort of bitching ... i feel sorry for u & i better not say anything more or do i ?

dark dark dark dark dark ?
dark nebula ? or dark soho ?

its all this crap that stops psychedelic music forom growing and going ahead.... this is about psychedelic music .. it aint dark any more ..even pill poppers who had given birth to this term have started to realise the same .. be it in brazil at UP or Boom in portugal or FMF in germany

this classification is not good . its not good for our genre . because it stops our scene from growing ahead

just because people keep calling it dark over n over again it is bound to have an effect on many people who are yet to hear this kind of bridging portal music , just because people keep calling it dark .. they are not gonna go to a party to lissen to it . because they want to hear psychedelic music .. not everyone knows about this ..

and why i say this again n again is to create some sort of awareness from my side in this community .. have been around here for a while .. so why not suggest some good points ..... it is plain psychedelic music made to look as some sort of a taboo ..pfff

and what issues u have with it i fail to understand ..?

my interaction was with the author of this thread .. and now i have to reply to u as well ...
ur example was nice by the way : )

but may be it should have been addressed generally rather than quoting my reply and then putting it up

 psychedelic music

ya dark nebula is DARK nebula and dark soho is DARK soho

 wowzaa

And i agree with Kormaduerg ...he said the names u mentioned is unmusical.....
well i agree except for kdd, zik, pzyko and to a very slight extent ikpeng and zero blade....rest r the new age ultra high BPM music made by kids for kids....thats not music basslogic...u want twisted dark music...listen to stuff from 03-04 onwards for darkpsy...
im terribly sorry for jamming this thread with my totally tangential views ....

						| I'm really really looking forward to this festival! I've always wanted to visit Nepal, and I'm arranging all my summer plans to be in Europe well in advance for this as well as many other festivals! An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines. |
