Just some ppl have a lot to say against racism, nazism, xenophobia, prejudices... etc... but them by themselves are not clear from those prejudices...

True as well. I personally believe that we all have certain level of prejudices in us, prejudices come in many ways and thats why its such a complex issue. They are kind of built in into us by the society and surroundings we live in and its hard to get rid of those prejudices. This however doesnt mean we would be racists, which is something that goes much further than plain prejudices. Racism is often accompanied with ideology, which makes it intentional. I believe that prejudices are often a natural reaction ie. unintentional, and they dont necessarily mean that we would offend someone (again it depends of the level), but racism offends always.

Connecting the dots...
In Japan, where the scene has also reportedly been mainstream and uglified for the past few years just as in the rest of the world, you often get the yakuza/chimpira gangs at parties, often showing off their full body tattoos and gang colours. I'm told these signify their allegiance to 'traditional' Japan and to the emperor in whose name imperial Japan invaded, occupied, raped and brutalised its East Asian neighbours from the early part of the last century up to 1945. Apparently, nationalism is on the rise in Japan, too, complete with their own little holocaust denial - apparently, the Nanking massacre is just evil Chinese propaganda. Japanese fascists/gangsters 'bump' into you as a foreigner, so much so that you're forced off the dance floor at parties. (That said, to be fair, most Japanese parties are still very safe if you avoid eye contact with the gangsters.)
And if you go to the some of the parties in northern Germany, like Shiva Moon, you might get some very menacing looks from groups of sour-looking German males, who seem to comprise the majority of the crowd, and who have escaped their dreary little towns or pastorally pretty villages (in the east, I reckon) to get drunk and sneer at foreigners at a festival. No revealing tattoos, but anyone who's encountered neo-nazis up close will know...(I heard a rumour Shiva Moon was moving away from northern Germany...?)
The problem for party organizers is that neo-nazis and gangsters are often one and the same, and as most organizers of medium-to-big parties and festivals (esp. eastern Europe) know...in many cases, it's not going to go on without their co-operation...that's a tough one.
But this is all very negative and horrible, let's just fiddle while Rome burns and keep smiling even as those nazis prepare to bash our heads in. Killer?
C'mon.
For me, PLUR doesn't only mean being nice to people at parties and on talk boards. It's the basis for an entire approach to life, to be practiced all my waking hours, part of an (attempt at an) elevated existence. So for me the R in PLUR also means Respect for the memory of all those who were butchered by nazis in the past, and that means talking about it, on boards like this one, to generate awareness and practical ideas about how we are going to make sure that neo-nazis don't establish a presence in the global psy trance scene, or anywhere in fact.
Keeping 'smiling' just isn't enough for me. I'm already smiling. Now, smiling, is anyone else going to join me in taking this topic to the next stage and come up with practical ideas for fighting nazism in psy trance? |

GenijeNajveci - there was a misunderstanding back there, that's all. It wasn't such an ugly exchange, more clarity was attained, and my enthusiasm and love for psychedelic trance, Israelis, Russians, fighting nazis, discussing and learning, and life in general, remains undiminished. Don't get too down.
Got any any practical ideas for avoiding/fighting racism and chauvinism and nazism in the global psychedelic trance scene?:-)

i am shocked that topic has not been removed, though it started in 2004 and somebody apparently brought it up. that section of aeroboard.ru is an utterly disgusting part, i never read it myself because usually people just post all kinds of shit there. i will try to find mods of that board to delete that topic at once.
as for racism in russia - i work as a journalist and i did a lot of reporting on this subject, and i can surely say that sadly enough racism strongly exists in russian society due to bad migration politics, poverty, and overall moral degradation of people.
of course some of those assholes go to trance parties, take speed and surf the net. trance parties are massive here and they can be really disgusting. dig the connection between speed and damaged brains?
ps - just i hope you ppl wont start thinking that all of the russian party crowd are morons
because of that stupid forum.
and i hope that this topic will be removed as well! because for sure there is no nazism in russian psy scene! |

i said few times here.....its not indication about all psyscene in russia...and if some ppl think that this topic
about harm to russian psy community...he's moron!
its very dangerous situation that some racist elements
intrude to psy scene....besause it would be disaster!
i explain why!
psy scene, community , ..whatever you call it...similar in some ways to hippies movement in sixties
hippie movement died because one person......charles manson....
charly and he's crew were hippie murders....and this murders was one of the major reasons for us government to open campaign against hippie ppl...
here is the similarity to psyscene in russia...
s.peterburg and moscow are lergest cities in russia...with largest neonazi and racist groups..wich killing, beating and bombing non russian ppl for no reason...of course for the big majority of russians its disguisting...AND THEY NOT SUPPORT THIS ACTIONS!
if some neonazi groups intrude to psy ppl and they will kill in party somebody "non russian" ( they do it everyday in the streets)
this will be big reason for russian authorities...to take action against all psy community... this will be dissaster!
