Well, you might say I belong to the old skool. Old goa I mean. Like psy a lot, but what really grabs me is a melodic goa track. So I'd like to know if it's just me, or is there anybody else, who is really surprised by this Goa revival we've seen since late 2003? Might as well add that I really loved Trashlords' latest tracks. Very Goan. Peace & love. |

revival? you dont see many things in this world which die and then come back to live do you?
the word here is evolution, it might be similar but it is not

Trashlords? Goa? Neo Goa?
Where did they forgot the melodies?
Or do this Neo word just cancells it?
I might say that Overlap's album is a Neo Goa for some extent. It's multylayeral approach and the proggressive buildup, but it lacks the melodies and the excitement that i felt when i heard Goa.

Trashlords are a Swedish act who have released 5 tracks in a joint CD with Psychotic Micro. Very Good. My 2003 CD so far. Of course we can't expect it to sound like it was back then, in 95 or 96. It got faster and heavier, a mix of full-on with goa riffs. Sure it lacks the emotion a "Tribute" by Etnica (1996) would bring to you, but back then it was all a surprise. To me, it's been a good surprise in 2004 to see these artists trying to bring the smiles back again. So...smile and let your body go! Peace and Love! |
