I think the Korg is a bit overpriced in israel I think.
And the Ms2000 isn't really emulating the Ms20 - so I don't know if I'd buy it. The filter sounds nice - though, what else do you need a filter for? Every synth today has a really nice filter although not analog...

Check out the Novation K-station. maybe you'll like it.

well i don't have a virus and i don't have a MS2000 but i think that more and more people are buying the virus and the ms2000 and other massive synths.

One should really get the sounds you want for your music and not because some other people have it.....

The big problem is that everything thats beeing produced will start to sound the same beacause more and more people get the same set up's in their studio, and it's pretty self explanatory that if eveybody gets the same things then everything will sound the same in the end.

So i say: One should get what one wants and not because other people have it...

cheers

Hmmmm.   I own a korg-ms2k
The thing is bitchin for the money.
I def. reccomend it for trance.  even tho you can get really gritty filtered sounds out of it, and it doesnt give you the flexibilty of FM synthesis (as does the nord lead), its got some unique features that set it apart from the rest.  First, theres the 2 audio inputs for effecting/filtering/vocoding any audio source.  Second, theres the extremely flexible step sequencer that allows you to do everything from making drum parts to lush synth pads that modulate with MUCH more complexity than any LFOs.  Theres also the virtual patch bay, which is a neat way to assign envelopes and lfos to parameters.  Lets not forget the 64 waveforms *other than sine, pulse, tri, and saw.

In short, the ms2k is a lot of bang for the buck.  If they had come out with a model with a higher polyphony (say 16 or 24), it would prolly cost twice as much.
