hello,

Could somebody suggest a 3D animation software, best to work with Mac and compatible with Adobe (Photoshop/Illustrator)
* dont req motion only for 3D modelling

Blender (http://www.blender.org/)

It's a free software, a bit of a learning curve but lots of tutorials out there.
