Do a search, there's a ton of discussions about it.
Specifically you're looking for a post by Colin OOOD regarding sidechain compression - he goes through it step by step.
You can use Waves Comp sc or TC native works. I use the Waves' compressor for sidechaining, the odd times that I do it.
