anyone every used the redsound darkstar its cheap, and whats the joystick for?

anyone who has used this just let me know your thoughts

yeah i have.
and i tell you what: it is cheap for a reason.
of course it's not that bad, as a matter of fact: you can get some dicent drones'n'noizes out of it, and somewhat ok lead sounds but that's all.

joystick can be asigned, and can controll various parameters: filter, PW, osc detune etc.

filters are only 12 db (LP, HP, BP)
osc section consists of 2 waves, + ring mod.
i can't remember most of its features, but what i remember was:
1) it wasn't deep'n'phat enough
2)programing on it was be very tedious and timeconsuming.

i had one for few months, got rid of it and never looked back.

thank you deo thats kinda what I thought but I just wasnt sure if it would be worth the small price tag best to just save that money and apply it to a formidable synth thanks again

i don't want to sound preechy, but saving up for better hardware will serve you long way.
