ahoy there,
not sure if this is right place to ask, if not mods please move.
anyway, im basically looking for new inspiration, im bored with alot of psy these days and only a select few get me really moving. i find protoculture and atmos very
beautiful. Is there anything out there resembling this kind of deep production. im after something clean, driving, must be atmospheric, even minimal yet rolling bassline. absolutely nothing cheesy or "in your face" harsh sounds, something deep, something that takes you. if anyone can put me in this direction id be very happy. im in desperate need of reassuring my faith in psy.

Dear orbit, I think maybe you should look some releases by Nano Records (like Protoculture or Aphid Moon), Neurobiotic Records, Alchemy Records (Rinkadink or Freakulizer) or Turbo Trance Records (Triptych). If you're looking for some nice proggy I recommend the album Jaia - Fiction. All this stuff is mostly from stabilished acts.
Maybe if you give some examples of tracks you really like we can give you better advice.
I hope you discover a new place inside the psymusic, one warm and nice to dance into.

i know how you feel, i love psy full on, but i simply can't dance to it anymore. i wait for the morning when djs spin more "sophisticated" music. for more progressive tunes i recommend:

@orbit: i think full-on has the perfect recipe of a good morning -- nano records, alchemy records sounds...
you can also look out for Lish..i was really impressed by their album..
another artist i have begun liking is alternative control...clean sounds...and a perfect way to end a heavy dose session...hehe

deep and atmospheric? try Logic Bomb and all side projects
atmospheric but a bit more driving : try Altom,Silicon Sound and older Bamboo Forest
also Prometheus

hey guys,
thanks for the suggestions. have to agree with you nygma and shilayeh, ive heard of these artist and enjoy there music very much. i suppose im wanting in the direction of protoculture( especially new stuff), silicon sound, even mr peculiar's mind-dala album hits what im after on the noggin'. anymore suggestions people? something that just rolls even if it is minimal. |

all utopia rec artists are pretty cool...
also more progressive style i recommend freq and beckers
but there are plenty of interesting artists as mentioned!
