Id like to know how you bounce it "exactly"?
I only mean the lenghts. For instance when you got 64 bars of bassline, maybe even automated here and there or everywhere, than you bounce each single note or the complete 64 bars or sth like this? I made experiments with each note and Im not sure if this is the comfortable way that does make sense.I find it very loong to edit each note with fade outs etc 16 notes each bar only one track of bassline..that has to be done in a different way I think..
In kick section I think I stay defo with bouncing each note ,except of some braeks with 64th ..I would bounce such drums not seperately I am nowhere sure here so would be great to get some help and some useful tips!
ps when yu bounce yur kick.. what db rms is yur kick right after bouncing? Is it good to compress (or put some other effects)on the kick before the bounce or should be the kick as neutral as possible before tha bounce?
Happy new Year to all real tranceheads! |

a question ..why not just let the bass be midi ? i know people say oscs aren't stable and can make it wobble around etc but im not sure what they mean when they say that .. and why bounce kick ? .. its generally in audio to begin with ? no ? .. if i remember correct , broken toy has a nice little tut on this , somewhere in the moa bassline thread

i bounce the hole 64 bar.
i use synths that are either sampler either re-trigger osc's so its solid enough.
each channel alone , i.e kick , bass , etc.
my kick peaks at -10db , not sure about the rms of that single channel...

just find the way its comfortable for you. if you like bouncing - please bounce. try working with midi, try a sampler. find out what's yours and go that way.

I think mostly couse even bazzism is stereo and yu want your kicks to be central..Thats at least for me why I ask how to do it as almost original as on my midi track to audio. With bass I even got more questions, but Id be glad to know atleast this one.I bounce everything seperately.I didnt used a sampler for b-drum...why is thre an advantage? More cpu.. And I tend to automize each note somehow (in battery for instance),so that almost all or many if not most kicks sound different. So better to bounce each note or a whole I donno maybe some 32bars blocks?

There's plenty of ways to make Bazzism true mono without bouncing..
I only bounce the kick and bass when the track is done to take loops into Live. I do each in 8 bar sections and bounce the breaks separately. I wouldn't suggest bouncing them before a track is finished..even if you bounce every other track right away to save cpu load, the bassline usually needs more tweaking further into the track than anything else.

Thanks for good news.Id be glad to know at least one way for this way..Im patient anyway so eazy going goa. That it can go like this is a good info for me since Id plan to let also my kick and bass /when tweaked anyway/to let in midi and all other stuff to bounce for less of cpu.anyways the kick atleast for the most of time Id like to have in mono but time will tell.Cheers |

one of the ways:
for sx3
starting from the situation that you already bounced a file stereo and you want to make it mono;
open audiopool, open audio, right click on the file you want to make mono, choose channel, and choose mono from the pop-up menu, accept
3db correction afterwards |

I think he wants to make the midi track true mono without bouncing it.
Bazzism is just dual mono anyway..it isn't really necessary. I don't know how to make it true mono without bouncing in Cubase though..

If you are happy with the sequence and your baseline isnt going into strange phase here and there then i would bounce the whole 64bars or more to a singel wave.
you know you could finish the track in midi and then bounce whole sequence or if you want bounce sections.
you have to think first what you want to do, there is no rule that you have to bounce each note and then re-sequence them.. you bounce singel notes if your baseline synth isnt stable enough... or if you want to apply different FX on different notes..

thats the point..I make more experiments(first of all learn the rules before fun of breakn them) than real compositions so far when it comes to psytrance.I think and think so good to have such forum here.Thats a good help from you.INdeed Id like to have bazzism simply mono without having to changin too much of dynamics but no more time on thinkin bout that Ill go for bouncing into mono and than sidechain .The tips redempted my questioning mind a bit lol I work more on element I got a nice bassline in another track and maybe a nice kick in another,I wanna learn the rules first that it sound good after some composing someday. |

true mono in cubase:
set your panning law to "stereo combined panner" (right click on the panner) and center both left and right...
