gold
sound is a wave, the frequency of the wave will determine the pitch, for instance A is usually tuned at 440hz
if you play above or below it, the frequency will change ...
what are you trying to do? why is this a problem? maybe we can help with a bit more info |

I actually posted a simmilar question @the mother of all basslines thread.
If I correctly understand your question you're saying that when you play different notes the bassline loses power ?
I often run into this problem... I EQ+compress my bass so that it sounds good on a specific note/notes but when starting to actually write the track I like to change the bassline notes being played every once in a while in order to add groove/life into the music. But then I find that in most cases any other notes apart from the ones that I originally tuned will sound flat and powerless
Is there a cure for this or do actually need to re-tweak EQ if different notes are being played even in the same octave ?
It makes perfect sense that different notes will respond differntly to freq modifications done by EQing but does this mean that we need to EQ these note changes separately ?
@Agata_pro, I apologize if I completely misunderstood your question and highjacked your thread

hey!
thanks for the tips....
i know that every note had different freq
and sometimes when i play my bass on some note and then change this note , the feedback of the bass can get lower or higher. anyway u can here the change of the sound.
some one told me today thet i can open some analyzer on the bass CH and see how it change the freq and then EQ it in way that the feedback will be changed in lower value.
any way thanks again |

i tend to leave eq+compression till the end, partly so i can focus on getting a track down without having to worry too much about technical stuff, and partly because i make sure everything sounds ok (ie no major freq clashes) before going to town with eq etc
also, i rarely boost stuff with eq, only cutting. |
