Well its hard to say from the info given exactly what is the problem but obviously mixes that sound right in your environment when making the tune aren't quite representative of the truth.
Is it a bad physical mixing environment? Do you know your monitors? Are u using headphones? etc... |

well atm as im still quite new to this im just using 2 pioneer speakers as i cant yet afford any descent monitors ive been mixing my tracks in my bedroom which is quite a small room im also currently at a music collage where im forced to use headphones.
ye my my problem that when i mix tracks i get them sounding to how i want them by giving all the seperate traks there own space in the mix i would then render them to wav then id normalise and convert to mp3 and take round my freinds but when i play it on there speakers it just sounds different like the kik will have to much lows and hats will have to much shine but when i listen on my speakers it sounds like it should .i hope u can make sense of this |

| this is exactly why you need monitors,
but if you don't have em try to use reference it should help a little...you'll get it with some experience.

you need accoustic treatment in your room (basstraps etc) and you need monitors. And relate your tracks on your production pc to already released tracks.
Read the threads about monitors and accoustic treatment. And read alot of the other threads about production. All will teach you about things you are asking about. And read the articles on the "sound on sound" website. Google! |

one more question. Can quality headfones be used instead of monitors ?
"Do not try and bend the spoon. That's impossible. Instead, only try to realize the truth."
Neo: "What truth?"
Spoon Boy: "There is no spoon." |

all said, get some foam and some treatment.
i use to mix on both, monitors and phones, just to get sure.
if you´re not one of the guys havin the money to spend on expensive equipment, i can recommend the ESI speakers near08 or 05 for the beginning and until u gonna buy good treatment i can recommend some foam like these, just to get things better. everything is the lowest price with the best quality IMO. sure there are heaps of better stuff, but all much more expensive.
if u got the money, have a look for some genelecs and some absorber/panel stuff. =D
panels u can also make yourself good ones, just read about here :
http://forum.isratrance.com/acoustic-treatment-what-to-buy/
or here: http://forum.isratrance.com/the-mother-of-acoustic-treatment/
for foam i think it depends on where u live, so just have a look yourself or simply click one of the links in the threads above
cheers
