Well, as you can see I am new here.
I didn't really know to which section of the forum
should I add this message, so I don't know if it is really related to this one eather (ah,hafif).
Bekitzur, I am writing this message from canada(unfortunately), I have a problem, and I decided to turn to the people who I believe are "barosh sheli". I was dragged here to canada from israel about almost a year ago and I truly hate this country, and I want to go back to israel, only that I don't have my parents support, well, the only support I have is of my "hevre" in the holy land, who are allways there to help me.
Basically there are thousands of forums, but another reason why I chose this one is because i see that most people are from israel here, so you all can undestand me, and because I am a huge trance fan, especially israeli trance (psy-goa).
I am seven teen years old and have lived practically all my life in israel.
And I want to go back there,
I see canada as a boring, cold, huge community of snobs, also trance(in all its different styles), does not exist here at all,
even not nitz'honot! Any one who comes here can forget about, good vibe, nature parties, and everything else, including the basic thing (a psy trance cd in stores!! When I first came here and went into a music store "TOWER RECORDS"!!! There were No Trance CD's there! And again I say "tower records". Anyway I came from haifa in israel about a year ago and want to go back, I am getting really frustrated here of the "matsav Dafuk la'alla"! And I get a lot's of criticism from my parents and a lot of support to go back from my friends. A amazing thing has happened to me, suddenly about 5 months ago (after three years of listening to trance and going to parties in israel,) I seem to have discovered my talant and my true will in life, to make trance music- which is something I am very determined to doing.
I constantly have been told back in israel that it should be my true mission in life, which of course brings a lots of support to my will to go back, I record vocals on cassettes so that when i get a chance to buy equipment i could take those Ideas into reality, I have this huge internal feeling that I could succeed in the world of trance music, another resong to go back is because even if i manage to write a cd in "canada"
I still would not have even a label to go to, because there are no labels who deal with this kind of music in this shit hole. I constantly have great melodies and Beautiful Ideas for a track in my mind, (well that has been going on for the past 3 years or so but now I have realised truly what this sign means).
There are many reasons why my parents oppose my going back to israel, because of the army because i have no money (ISRAEL!!!), and mostly because of
"ma shekore bashtachim".
The schools are crap here, unlike the warm people in israel in theese schools people are cold (very), and don't give a shit about someone new coming to their classroom, totally ignorant.
Although I tried I could't get along with them.
They just have a totally different mentality.
Now I sit here at home in four walls for nearly half a year trying to solve this problem and looking for a job(with no success) to gather up some cash for the equipment. And I got into the situation where I actually am eating myself apart from inside and radiating all of the symptoms of anxiety, also I am a human being who relies on emotions rather than logic to lead him.
And now my parents want to send me to a fuckin' shrink, and I agree as it will hopefully convince them even more about my need to return, well actually now It is my choice, because they agreed to let me go to ankori and pay for the plane ticket, but I am only seventeen and untill the army need to live somewhere somehow and to get a job somewhere, and to start putting my talent in place and make it active.
Well I think I allready wrote too much and I am sorry for taking up all this place in a forum which is not a humanitarian organization but a trance discussion forum!
So right now while I am listening to "infected mushroom" I will be waiting for your replies.

That's exactly what I"ve been thinkin about!
I know that there are alot of people in canada that LOVE trance as we all do - and so if there aren't any parties - and you seem to notice that and you miss them, organize some great parties! Start a new stream - create your little israel in canada - I heard it has great views and sites! Some great opportunity man :)
Starting something new is the best thing - here in israel it's all used man :)

Well, that's actually a good Idea but it's not new. People have tried to do theese things here, and the canadians just aren't into psychedelic for some reason. They actually have some sort of music here that they like to call "trance",
they have 4 artists (hear this):
DJJD, DJ double D, DJ graham J,DJJD. And these are the artists who make Music which is syntesized, it consists of: base kick, hat, and turntable noises. The other fact is that people actually like this stuff, and does anyone want to tell me how to organize a "m'sibat teva" while having only 3 months of more or less sun and all the rest is rain and snow with temperatures close to 0 ? Do you think that it is possible that trance can be accepted by only certain types of mentalities? It's practically a fact that trance has been accepted in israel and most parts of europe, but- it's been basically 10 years ever since the true beginning of "psy-trance" and it still isn't recognized on the american continent, and if someone claims that it is, than how is it that not only there are no parties but also at least no CD's in stores??????!!
I can't even get a "long" for my ultra!!

WELL ALEX I KNOW EXACTLY HOW U FEEL.
I USED TO LIVE IN CANADA TILL ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO WHEN I MOVED BACK TO ISRAEL WICH I LEFT AT THE AGE OF 14. I LIVED IN TORONTO, I DUNNO WHERE U ARE BUT THERE ARE PSY TRANCE PARTIES IN TORONTO AND THERE ARE LOTS OF "ANASHIM TOVIM" EVEN IF THEY ARE HARD TO FIND. THE TRUTH IS THAT PSY TRANCE IS ALIVE AND WELL IN CANADA, HOWEVER NOT AS MAIN STREEM AS OTHER ELECTRONIC MUSIC THERE. I HAPPEN TO STILL HAVE SOME INFO LINES OF PEOPLE THAT THROW WICKED TRANCE PARTIES IN ONTARIO, SO CONTACT ME VIA EMAIL OR ICQ AND I'LL FILL U IN.
ALL AND ALL I AGREE ISRAEL IS ON A DIFFARENT LEVEL THEN CANADA, BUT ONCE U KNOW THE RIGHT PEOPLE THERE IT'S ALL GOOD.

er, hello? what a weird experience you are having here... goa isn't mainstream and top 40 here in canada and frankly, many of us like it that way. no you can't walk into a big store like tower records and find anything remotely like psychedelic trance but seriously, what do you expect? goa trance is UNDERGROUND here... the parties are small, they have a tight vibe, and the people that do like goa aren't half-ass about it -- they're FANATICS just like me :)
i agree that society at large can be rather cold here... a large portion has to do with this illusion of tolerance. there are soooooo many different peoples of varying cultures here and there is an uneasy peace. there is little ethnic violence of any kind but what has been sacrificed is normal friendly interaction between people. everyone goes places pretending like no one else exists. it is considered rude to directly talk to anyone it would seem. but what can you do? there are friendly people out there... you just have to find them.
if you're in toronto and you want to be informed about the underground party scene here then come by my message board: pub4.ezboard.com/bnineveh ...i am also throwing a party on july 14th and the main goal there is to get away from minimalism. if you like old school and melodic stuff come on out then... we'll definatly be playing lots of classic israeli stuff as well as eclectic other stuff.
try and look on the bright side... also, how much longer do you have to be in school here? i agree that our education system is painful and stifling and no wonder many teens here go totally fucking crazy before high school ends. ignore the social games, just get your shit done quick, and get out of there as soon as possible. if you can, take correspondence. that's what i did and it worked out all right because i sure don't fit that sad social mold either. correspondence is really easy if you are dedicated and hard-working. when i was going to actual school my marks were always around 60 but when i did at-home schooling i kept coming out with high 90s which looks great to the universities and such.
anyhow, i hope you can see the better side of our country soon. also, if you're looking for trance cds and vinyl check out metropolis records at the corner of spadina and queen in toronto. its just up the street from tower and has a fairly good selection [though you will probably not like spending $30 for a cd you could get at home for half the price]...

Hey Alex, try to readjust and see the good part: eventually you'll find your own kindof ppl. And you will get a lead to parties, and when you do, you'll find a small (but brave) scene which you won't find here, so keep the fate, and if you'll book them they will come... |

By the way i moved to Israel all alone in the age of 17, now almost 6 years passed since then and i don't regret.
regarding your situation... I think this is the place to ask for help. But before making some big movements and decisions, i was probably advicing you to stay in Canada for some time, try stay in contact with guys who offered their help here...see what happens.
Beleive me i know what is to be different "head".
Everything takes it time. And i don't think that after half a year you can really decide to move back or keep going.. I personally started fully contact with israelis after some time...
Keep the faith man and give it some time!
p.s. In case you want be back to wholy land, contact me in at least a half-year since now;)))
I will explain you how it goes. But till then, plug-in-play man and let the whole school hear what music's playing in your headphones;)
