HI guys...
I need tips to sell my Denon 9000 securely.. either online or offline...
I am in India.. and the buyer is in Greece.. so i wanted to know (from seller point of view) how i could sell my player to this guy in Greece and ensure i get my money..
And From Buyer point of view: the buyer would want to recive the player and then make the payment...
so in such a case where the buyer or seller do not know each other.. how can we still have a secured deal.. wherein i recieve the money safely and the product reaches the buyer... Need options for this type of arrangement...
pls give options, as i havent sold anything online or directly to a person living outside of my country who i dont know...
wht are my options..
1. Do the delivery company (courier service) collect cash/ cheque/ demand draft on delivery from the buyer and send the same back to me..
2. Any arrangement with the bank, wherein the money is secured.. etc...
3. Any other option..

hmm... ok here's an idea...
verify home adresses by sending each other a letter and then sending an answer. if you are really paranoid you can send a certified DHL/equivalent where the person has to sign for the letter... get a phone number too... and obviously test.
do NOT send equipment to a stranger first.
ask him to send you half the money... send the thing. upon the other person receving the equipment and checking is in good condition he should send you the rest of the money...
