need help with kick

ok this is a track were i working on ! its a raw sample well i boosted a bit for the bass around 48hz and bass is on 30 hz my kick is on 28 hz and a little boost on 58 i did also a cut around 520 for the mid ! but the point is that the boost of 58 (G) sounds very jelly and muddy ! I see were my key point is for the kick but what i do my kick keeps shit ! please some tips for this problem ! thanx |

dont understand the eq numbers uv mentiond..28 hz kik? 48hz? 49hz is g.
i dont understand your request..whats wrong with it? "but what i do if my kick keeps shit"? lol dont even make sense

sorry mayby abit unclear ! I try to give my kick more punch ! but if i boost it (eq ) around 58 were the kick needs more power i can't get it right |

stop looking at it so mathmaticly,change the angle in which u treat it.dont make everythin sound so bright in your mix would be one thing, the other i dont c why i should help wen i get zero feedback on the things i need feedback on..simply
but how ever its in my nature to wana help out and give feedback as fuking asked...
There r different eqs and comps out there for pacific tasks in mind ie which case the kickdrum,the rest iz upto u

Bazzism - then -
eq nicely first takin out the mids 300-900 and highs 1000-8k(depends) , dont be afraid to cut deep with the decibels then try a pultek eq emulation befor a compressor (for boost)..make the attack 15-25(depending on the compressor the attacks work in different times) and fast release
(enuff not 2cause disruptions) set the threshold enuff so it punches it but not alot for it to loose the power, then make up the gain for a limiter to feed on..... my choices is the Nomad factory Multimax and LL3 Multi from waves, these sit nicely after the comp which is one from Sonnox dynamics - i also use its Eq to finilize it befor the overall gain is increased for the limiter...
thats my way , there r thousands of combinations.. u need to find yours..
The hertz depends, i roll off at 30hz despite the root bieng above that ,i just dont like to hipass to much as it alters the sound going further, either chip away the fundamental or boost it "not to much as The puklteck will takecare of that..then lopass highs, mistake i made on my kick exaMPLEs didnt take out sum highs that still there. Sorted out now tho...
dont have to be so precise with the numbers...just make the kick and shape it by ear instinct... u need to seperate the mids from the lows and highs then comp for the punch, and overall loudness at the end with limiter - should be gettin the punch ya need then...
2 good styles of Eq's for this job...
Pro Q a surgical (cutting) Eq - A Pulteck style Eq (boosting)
Soneq , T-racks EQP1A - Softube PE1C
Compressors - sonnox Dynamics - api 2500 compressor
Limiters - Multimax - sonnox limiter - waves ll3 multi
decide which element u want to have the most power |

wow thanx man !! yeah it works brother got a nice kick now and fit nice with tha bassline now ! the mids i did a heavy cut bro perfect !!! now there is room for my bass and it sound now more as they are friends now ( ha,ha ) yeah got the sound of the second sample now also before i use the kick in tha sampler i use the H-comp from waves and pushed to 0.0 db ! also my bass so they are in good volume strenght ! and put the level on -3.0db after i give the kick and bass a good balans ! it all make it more fun ! thanx for sharing mate ! Kick is not bad imho. The meat of the kick is a bit too high I think. To fix that maybe make a new kick with bazzism. Or layer it with a kick that has a nice bottom and keep the highs of this kick.

 yeh it ok as it was but he wanted more punch...for taste..well ya got the remedies.. yeh H-comp cool,just love sonnox for its linear effect it has.
i dont really no much about levels but i always set the multimax to -6 ceiling 4 kikdrum headroom

from here kick and bass sound pretty balanced between each other but generally the low end sucks both in kick and bass. also kick has too much power around 2 kHz which hurts.
forget about these numbers for a second. especially things like boosting around 28hz - that has no sense what so ever. most of the party PAs adjusted the way they cut everything below 30-40hz depends on the venue, not to say that the track will be processed with HPF while mastering.
get a fat analog style eq and boost kick and bass group with a lowshelf by some dB 100 Hz and down. that should do it i think. or not. if not - tweak nice fat kick and bass

thanx for the feedback ! yeah with some help of you dudes i'am very glad and my new tracks fit more in ! my bass that could be right ! i did a little boost around the 2k for brightness and kick around 5 k ! i do now every day a little task for myselve to work with kick and bass ! thank you all for the feedback !
