I have a question regarding tempo automation on fl studio 10. I saw couple of videos on youtube and try to do the same technique but not working out....this video for reference
For example i set the bpm of the track to 160 and in between of the track i want to increase to 180 bpm gradually. When i automate the tempo or Edit event, the bpm is not going more then 160 bpm but when i decrease the bpm less then 160 bpm it works out.
I want to know how to increase the bpm more then 160....
Appreciate your help
Riz.....

have you tried setting a track to 180 and then automate it down to 160 for the beginning? don't now it'll work though, just givin' a shot

In FL Studio you can paste values into the points in automations. You can drag your BPM to the desired, then when it askes if you want to restretch your samples, say no. Then copy the value with right click. Then right click the BPM in the top again and click create automation clip.
This will make an automation which is the lenght of the whole song you've made, if you only want to automate a certain part, paint the area with the select tool and then do the automation.
Now you've got an automation for your tempo, take the point you want to be your first value, right click it and paste value. Then drag the BPM again to the other value you want, don't restretch it again and copy the value again, paste it into the automation again. I can make a video for you but if you got it then I wont bother
Cheers!

i know how to do it on Fl 9...
click on tempo..
Edit the events.....start the line from 160 and gradually build up and then make the event into automation clip and place where u want.Peace.
I did the exact same thing, which is shown on the youtube video too but wen i make automation after edit, the bpm starts from less den 160 and reachs maximum on 160....
Freaking fl 10....

My way should work fine with FL 10 at least that's how I do it. Also, you can paste percents there.
160 bpm to 180 bpm is a 12,5% rise so you could just calculate your desired bpm and paste it into the automation.
