I am not very good in this but, I tried to use Saw wave with 4 voices from Sylenth slightly detuned. Its matter of taste. Than Band Pass filter with medium resonance on it, 12dB or 24dB. A little bit of LFO modulation on filter but not too much, just a touch with rate under 1 Hz. I used 0.25Hz.
Amplitude envelope: A (4.7), D (0), S (100) and R(3.65).
Sylenth has quite good controls over OSC so you can tweak the phase, detune and stereo field little bit.
I used also keytracking on filter and drive knob but not too hard. I mean that most important in this sound is midi and also use legato and pitch band.
In the end I put some distortion and reverb on it.

ananda shake (High drive) makes good use of this , high rez disto saw, to make similar sounds of disto Guitar...
like that NEBULOsity ?
altho the clip of track is better because i think he's playing that by hand (like you would a guitar) ,but i guess this a startin point..
the A-team track of his version of the lead,i get the sensory feeling that hes purposely tried to make it difficult to replicate.. for reasons such as these, it is a beautiful sound,,, i think its being fed thru a phazer aswell,i can hear the liquidity of it, just not modulated... the choice of scale and note space position he used is what created the emotion tho.. ultimately

peace.. sorry i look like an arse hole at times
as for the gating i think its just simply tiny note tight on the 1/32 to create that flam rather than gate... not unless its dynamo doing it
btw to add, there are pedals out there that can do the opposite
