This is like some kindergarden where kids make a request for a "toy" and the helpful nanny hands them out. The best way would be to say, that toy you can find in the play room on the top shelf and if you cant reach it you have to take a stool..

yes, the second sound is a TB "guitar" like sound..
try also a guitar amp and do a clean EQ

yeah but if i want to try and re-create a sound i try it my self first, if i cant do it i listen more and experiment and try and find out... there must be some challenge i think, otherwise we get this "serve on a plate" mentality!
of course its nice to help, but what is it really to help?
is helping to serve on a plate at all times or is it to let people know how to help them selfs?
just some thoughts, of course i like to help and before elad came i was thinking if i should write also the same, but i thought maybe this guy should read some about sound design and stuff to learn...
its like you say Uedi , on the way you stumble up on so many new things that are interesting and nice so the journey is really the only good way, not the goal

hey.. I am reading a lot of stuff as well as as experimenting for 2 years, and I am trying to absorb knowledge from everywhere it's possible. So if you are not keen to help, dont waste your time telling stories about kindergardens..
p.s. I dont believe you Freeflow, that with your explanation, I will create same sound without experimenting a lot!

I love to help, and that story was a analogy, maybe someone here could tell you step by step process in creating those sounds, but what would it help you? My brother has a great way of saying it, "some artists are like the medicine company that buys the formula from the scientists, some artists are the scientist!"

Of course you will have to experiment and its nice with some guidelines, and with a general idea/knowledge you will be able to experiment more close to the subject you are after.. but still, getting something served on a plate will do nothing.

Being curious is great! im not bashing you for it, i was just suggesting you experiment more.. maybe bring to the table your own conclusion and ask for missing links?
And that is whats missing alot, almost nobody that ask for help brings their own idea to the table, and say "i been experimenting with this and that but im missing something, can you help me?"

I wasn't expecting step-by-step tutorial. That's enough what Elan and Uedi told! Maybe someone will suggest other way, or smn - another.. And things left - is for my experimenting!

Haha sometimes i also wonder! Somekind of bitchy worm i bet!

For the first FM sound i would try synth1 but also Disco DSP Discovery(its probably made with a nordlead)... LFO modulating the oscillator, filter mode HP... maybe some high attack settings on the Filter ampenv to make it sound fuller, its was kind of difficult to imitate just with 10min. but if you sit down and listen closely i think its possible to come close... Must say very nice track this first one....
