need help in FLStudio 6

hey, i'm using flstudio and i have this problem, everytime i try to load a fruityloops plugin (e.x fruity flanger)
i get this error : "Can't load an effect into a channel"
so my question is, how do i load it not a channel :X?

thanks man, got it. 
p.s i've got anouther question if i may..
let's say i'm builing a track and in some point of the track i want to put on a phaser, i think it's called automation, how can i do it? |

create a new pattern in your playlist, called "phaser" for instance, mark it and press record, play the track & when you alter the phaser you will get a curve in the "phaser" automation. |

if u want the automation as a pattern (if the duration is small) right click on the parameter u want to automate and select edit events...u'll get a grid draw the automation path in it
if u want to automate a parameter for a long duration in the whole track, click on channels>add one and add an automation clip...the automation clip is just like and audio clip...it goes in the playlist editor down in the lower grid and there u make the automation path...n right click on the parameter to be automated and select link to controller and from the dropbox select auto clip1 |

yeap those 2 guyz said it almost all!
u can also press record and move the knobs on the phaser with ur mouse/controller! thats the fast way! and dont forget to create an new pattern!
or right click the knob on ur pahser u wanna tweak and choose "create automation clip" and it will automaticaly create a automation clip and if u have highlighted a part in ur playlist it will drop the automation line in there !

yeah but i only see the signel... it doesn't effect it..
and no automation line appear... |
