I have just purchased a new computer and would like suggestion regarding softwares for a lay person to start making music. |

Try ReBirth first , learn it well , read some articles
from studiocovers.com and move to Cubase or
Logic , when u ready . |

Absolutely! the Fruity Loops to start and to learn... simple program... lot's of possibility's to one who want to start make music!
