Anyone in the southeast who is willing to help with music, sound, deco, anything at all. If any place in the world needs a better sense of psytrance it's this place right here.
We're working on an incredibly limited budget, but any financial requests will be considered, and we will make it worth anyone's while to the best of our abilities.
This is a very grass-roots style uprising that is actually a wonderful thing to be a part of right now. Please respond if you have anything at all to offer, even if it is only useful tips.
Thankyou all. |

I would suggest talking to some of the family that's already down in MS like Karmakat and some of those peeps. They would be able to help you I'm sure. It's fine to have some unknown peeps, but it's a good idea to include some of the experienced folk that live in the area. It'll help when it comes to logistics.

Well if it isn't Mubali! What's up? Haven't seen you since I had my ear pressed to a speaker for the most psychedelic sound I've ever heard at whisper volume.
We are already directly involved with Karma Kat on a project. The little pc I work for is putting up a chill stage for an event that is being put together by much larger forces than myself or my pc. And I've just been sending out bulletins everywhere I can to get more people involved, who want to be.
The biggest problem with this state's electronic music scene in general is that we have a bad habit of electing "regulars" and then everyone else who wants to make a difference tends to get left behind.
A few years ago I wished to hell I could find a way to help out, help make a better, brighter, more energetic and enjoyable scene for the people who really NEED this shit. But I had a hell of a time finding a door in. So now that I have somewhat of an opportunity to help, I feel like it's part of my duty to let the creative, strong minded, hard working dj's, producers, painters, artists, and upstart promoters abroad know: That we're here, and we ARE trying to make a difference, and you CAN help.
Man, that got a bit preachy at the end, but nonetheless, a clear mission statement never hurts I suppose.
So yeah, we've got all of our big names and well-knowns to pseudo-well-knowns on lock. Now we're pretty much scouring every outlet possible for fresh talent, new ideas. People who make really great deco but don't know how to get it seen. People who produce or dj, but can't get gigs cause their music isn't "club friendly". If you think you can twist out the woods like it's the end of the world... I want to hear it!
(Although for this particular party, as far as the music is concerned, we're only searching for chillout, downtempo, or possibly minimal. And we only have slots available for 2-3 dj's. Which may fill up quickly. Darkness is not a problem, the darker the better as far as I'm concerned.)
Mostly concerned with the deco aspect. I need lycra!!!! lol.
So anyways, there's my potentially FAR too descriptive full detail request. |

Well, if that's the kind of music you want, I strongly suggest booking Stephen, the co-owner of Dharmaharmony Records. His musical taste is delightful. I listened to him DJ at a Summer Solstice party near Amsterdam and everyone I talked to as well as myself all gave him outstanding reviews. It was a roughly 3000 person event and Stephen manned the chillout section (set up inside a converted old church) and his track selection and technique were super. Not to mention a great guy all around.
Hope you don't mind me ceaselessly plugging all these great acts
