Need help connecting my Virus B

Hello
I just bought a Virus B desktop, and I have a little problem connecting it right.
I have a ESI Julia Soundcard, and I'm using Cubase SX. So this is how the cables are connected now, and I think that is the right way doing it:
Virus midi out -> Julia midi in
Virus midi in -> Julia midi out
Virus L/R out 1 -> Julia in 3/4
Julia out 1/2 -> Studiomonitors
The problem is, that I can't get a signal out to the monitors. I can see in cubase, that the signal from the virus is getting in there. But why don't I hear anything in the speakers?
I have reset the soundcard, reinstalled last drivers etc. I think that the problem is setting up Cubase.
Please help

What do you mean by opening Audio channel? I hit monitor, but it didn't help anything..

If you go into the devices menu, and select device setup (in cubase) go down to your Asio drivers, there should be a check box that you can check that says "hardware monitoring" or something along those lines. If thats selected then you'll hear the input. Another way to do it depending on your audio interface is go into the windows sound mixer (the little speaker in your task bar) and make sure that "line in" or whatever you have it plugged into isn't muted. That way you can hear the play back from that. Be carefull of feedback loops though, they can rip right through your ears.
option 2, place virus b in a large cardboard box with bubble wrap and mail it to 370 15th st. Marion etc.... hehe  |
