Need For Speed

Hi friends,
I have this track going at 150bpm but it feels like it's going about 145bpm. I want to make it feel faster without changing the bpm, but I don't know how. I am using 1/32 note lenghts. I tried to use 1/16 but the bass becomes too muddy. I've also tried increasing release on the envelopes but it just ruins the clarity of the bass. Is there anything else I can try?
Thanx for help..

try to change bassline and\or kick. The feeleng of the speed depends on their timbre very much           http://soundcloud.com/aedem

3/4 often gets boring fast.

also cool is switching from 4/4 to 3/4 and back again... but this is a old thing again^^

anyways, changing bassline into something more snappy and jumpy, and the same with percussions might do alot. I also tend to chop up my leads and sounds into small phrases and have them answer eachother... if alot of small details happen in a short time, it will "speed" the track up...           http://www.myspace.com/fragletrollet

If you shift some of your drums back just very tiny amounts this will give the track a "rushed" feeling, which should make it sound faster           ~Airyck~

using three hits per beat = 1/12 (on 4/4 bars or whatever) is called tripplets. (same for 1/24, 1/48...)

if a bar just has 3 beats (like kick) its a 3/4.

huge difference. 3/4 is not popular at all in electronic music but tripplets you can hear often in psy.
imo it doesn't make the music sound faster. try filter env of bass and especially percussion and leads. make 1/16 rythm with some 1/32. if it's not sounding fast enough change the rythm. also modulation of leads can add some 'speed'

do soft envelopes on your synths , bassline

work with 1/32

work with fast lfo (pan filter etc..)

and write melodies more with 1/16 and 1/32 instead of 1/8 to give it more speed up..

most important,
think in 150 bpm instead of 145 hehe

tnx guys for all your suggestions
1/16 sounded way too muddy.
1/32 way too slow but very clean,
soi dont know how you call this but what i did is make the bass in 1/32 then change the grid line to 1/64 and just extend it for one more little box. i donno how you guys call this, but its great !:)
aslo i changed some percussion elements and it made it feel even faster..
