i think the workshop as it now is cool because people gets some feedback on their tracks. i think till anybody has few tracks that he is sure that are sounds great. it's very hard to tell if track sounds good enough or not. and opinions from other people who create the same kind of music can help you understand how your music sounds.

It's not up to the moderators to decide what you want to write about, instead of people organizing and using it as a tool to improve themselves they just want someone to download their track and say "HEY GOOD" and that's about it.

That wasn't the original idea.

I agree. But it was necessary for people to have a forum to be able to share their tracks for feedback too.

The idea behind this post of mine was to help those djs and producers to discover their own sound through sound synthesis. And I am sure many of you share the same view.

I believe that a forum exclusively for sound design will help these passionate people understand waveforms and how they can model their desired sound using envelopes, filters etc. thereby making them less dependent on tracks, samples and presets.

IM's kick drum tutorial has helped budding producers like me immensely and has opened up a world of possibilities.

I just hope we can build a good sound design forum or atleast a subforum to help the community grow.

That would be great to have a department of information strictly about synthesizing sounds with tutorials, tricks, explanaitons, and without any offtopical additonalities.
Someone should have sharpen eyes for deleting questions that belongs not there.
It is hard to fish out the golden infos amongst all the repetitive questions.
I'd find it very useful to bring more quality to this large side.
Or maybe a subforum for tutorials only..That would be great! No requests ,questions etc only comments for the tutorials bringerrz.

I spotted three threads today in the forum today which relates to sound design.
the acid stab thread, the astrix rubbery sound thread and the Mother of all white noize thread.

I see the production forum as a forum to solve questions about composing, mixing and mastering music.

Doesnt't anyone else feel the same way?           "Do not try and bend the spoon. That's impossible. Instead, only try to realize the truth."
