with native parametric eq1 u can 7x HP at a certain frequency but be careful.. the Q needs to be at 0.03.
Q at 0.04 seems regular but it actually resonates the frequency set

Gawd I hate feeling stupid, but I am really not sure what you mean by 7x HP?           www.xun.dk / myspace.com/xundk

Xun, have you considered that it might not be an EQ problem, but that the waveforms might be out of phase with each other (which will introduce harmonic issues)?

Not saying it is mind, but worth bearing in mind.

Otherwise, totally agree with Vegtal, a 90 degree filter is never gonna happen .... thats an infinity db/octave slope... and even if it were possible, it would most likely sound like poo.           .

Hmmm, ok... So what I should do instead is to use a filter, if I want to remove f.x. the bottom 800Hz ?           www.xun.dk / myspace.com/xundk

7x HP = open parametric EQ1 and set all 7 bands on highpass.

adjust them in the same frequency and adjust the slope to 0.03

a lower value affect a greater range that the selected freq and higher it resonates.           extreme

I never tought in using any effects on the master.          ``We shall not cease from exploration - And the end of all our exploring - Will be to arrive where we started - And know the place for the first time.``

I personally believe in treating mixing and mastering separately.

If you need more boost in the kick then why not apply it to the kick? why apply it on the master fader where it will also effect the bass? If you only have a stereo mix then yes you will have to apply it to the whole mix. But In your DAW you can work on the individual tracks.

Some people like to add bus compression on the master. Many mastering engineers will advice against this as it counter productive to the mastering process. I also agree.

Bus compression can work nicely on the drums and bass together. But I would personally set up a separate sub group for that.

lol jokin, yeh true, i spose that would be the better way, that iz what i do, i just genrally ment if you have a whole track made in wav file, and you want to do the last finishin touches before mastering

Why not do those "last finishin touches" on the individual track(s) that is/are causing the problem?
