Hi fellow trancers.
Anyone know of an EQ that can cut a frequency by 90 degrees ?
Like I want to COMPLETELY remove all frequencies below a certain variable.
All eq's I have looked at can only make a more or less soft curve...

Have you tried a graphic EQ with slides?

You can connect a load in series to get a steeper slope. |

Cambridge EQ in Eliptic6 Mode. Or, as mentioned above, maybe get Waves Q10 and set all the filters to the same frequency and Q.
You have to be very specific with use though, as I think roll-offs sound better than a straight cut - you often end up with some squeaky resonance near hard cutoffs. |

Thanks for all your repliesl. Will be looking into the various links
I need it because I really like to have a bassline made of 2 or 3 basses over each other, and then I found this problem last night, that 2 of them was "overlaying" too much with a standard eq curve....
Again thanks guys

Vegetal > I always aim for the impossible... heh... Well, but all I want is something better than the native EQ in FL Studio...

@xun
with native parametric eq1 u can 7x HP at a certain frequency but be careful.. the Q needs to be at 0.03.
Q at 0.04 seems regular but it actually resonates the frequency set

wavelab 6 has the option to completely remove part of the spectrum if i`m not mistaken ...
or if i remeber right, also sequoia has very accurate eq close to this option
otherwise, you can use any eq with as many identical slopes layered as possible, but it will most definitely result in big resonance peak ... |

Cutting 90 degrees is impossible to achieve unless you can calculate the future, you can get close to 90 but not 90 exactly
