im kinda freaky in a way, that i prefer vinyl then cd's, never mind why.
now the thing is, i was asked to play at places that have no tt's, which means i have to transfer all my vinyls to cd's.
would it be awful if i record my vinyls to my computer and then burn it (sound wise).
ive tried dling all my vinyls, but now AG closed, and im stuck, only dl'd like two lp's...
what to do??? |

Find someone who has a soundcard with an optical output (I really don't know the technical side, someone plz correct me), connect it to your turntables, 'rip' the vynils and burn them to CDs. There will always be that hissing scratches from vynil sound though afaik.

why don't you just try and arrange a pair of tt's for the event (borrow from a freind, bring your own, rent a pair... whatever)
it's easier then getting all the muisc on to cd's...

i wish it waqs that easy, im thinking more about mobility, if they call, i can come, vinyl or cd's.
in this day and age, a starving unknown dj cant be too picky, you know? |

Well, you can record them to a CD. Just connect the out of your turntables to the in of your sound card and there you go.
But you should give it to someone who has a good sound card and knows HOW to record. If you need any more advice, go ask in the Equip forum
