if your intrested in making psytrance and you have money then you should go with something like virus, or nordlead. |

if your looking for some keyboard that you can only practice then any keyboard would do. but isent it a money weist?
you can buy a midi controller keyboard and use some vst. at least the midi controller is usefull usefull.
anyway if you decided you want a hardware synth for practice. then i guess juno will do.
i'd save money and go for some semi modular synth. it has all the basic sounds u need to practice (piano etc..) and you can make your own so you can practice synthesis too.
try to think long term.
if you want, post your budget i'll recommand some keyboards that i would go for.

as a piano player myself, my advice to you, if you want to learn to play the piano:
buy either
a) a real piano
b) an electric piano with real piano keys
never learn to play piano with some cheap plastic keyboard keys, you won't develop nowhere!
all the best on your way,

I fully agree with dtd. I have bought the Casio CDP-100 which i use as midi master keyboard and for practising as well. It has 5 basic presets and two effects and they sound very descent but anyway i use vst piano sounds to practice. It has 88 fully weighted hammer action keys, and the feel is great. The best is the price. I bought it for 440 euros(in Holland) and it comes with its own stand and sheet rest. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality budget 88 keys piano-like master keyboard.
A friend told me once that the biggest mistake we make is that we believe we live, when in reality we are sleeping in the waiting room of life. |
