Hello all, thought I'd share a neat trick on programming lead sounds.
Set a fast LFO to modulate the filter cutoff, but have it only do so for a fraction of a second. Basically each time you hit the key it will go "w-waaaaaa" with the "w-w" being formed by the fast filter cutoff modulation.
I tried this on an albino2 lead I've been tweaking, and it adds a really neat 'garble' to the start of each note. With a good delay/reverb this trick adds a neat element to a melody without detracting from the notes themselves.
Happy tweaking!

So you'll need to modulate the LFO depth or something, no? To make it only @ the beginning?

Retriger the LFO at each note start.

yeah, retrig at each start.
The depth can be static. On the Albino 2 there's a 'decay' knob that you can set so that the lfo modulation cuts off after a brief moment.
But yeah, having the LFO cut off at the beginning is the idea. |
