Just wonder if anybody perhaps ordered CD's from the native state records online shop lately ?

I'm asking because on the main site it says: " Native State Records is now officially on hiatus. We've moved offices to Hawaii and will be back online
once all of our stock arrives safely from the mainland! "
http://www.nativestaterecords.com/

But in here - http://www.nativestaterecords.com/releasesframe.html
it seems that some releases are available for purchase but I'm not 100% sure that everything is up and running...

I contacted Evan but he didn't answer me back yet.

So if someone can confirm that it's ok to buy CD's from there please do so.

Thanks in advance

Love&light

P.S
I know that the CD I want is available on other shops but in some cases I prefer to buy directly from the record label.

cheers !

Yeah, that front page has said they're on hiatus since last year some time when Evan moved to Hawaii.

Good work on finding the releases page. I clicked on one of the albums to buy it and it takes you to the same payment page that the Somnia website uses. So I would guess that it should be fine to order from there.

At least you know it is Evan at the other end who receives your order and money, and I would think that he would be trustworthy enough to refund your money if the item you ordered is out of stock.

But if the page is there and working i am thinking that it should be fine to order. I would if Beneath the Surface was in stock.

Good luck with it!

Hi there DjSchofield,
How are you mate?

Yes, I clicked on one of the albums as well a couple of days ago and saw the Somnia payment page but still I was not sure.

anyway, I guess you're right, like you said,if it's there and it's working it should probably be alright.
thanks and cheers !

Most likely, Evan is getting re-organized both musically and personally. Have some patience - the guy is just too creative too keep quiet for long. I just think he needs to find a proper platform to sell his music and make a living. Which makes sense. He is, for what it is worth, one of my main influences in modern electronic music.

Cheers:)

well, I just find it a bit strange that on the main Native State Records website there is no link to here - http://www.nativestaterecords.com/releasesframe.html

and I'm also surprised that Evan didn't answer me back, I mean,I know his busy but I think that when someone wants to buy a release from your label and asks you about it because something is not clear to him it's quite reasonable to answer him back.

I ordered from Somnia in the past and it went quite OK and with nice customer service from Evan.

but this Native State Records case is a bit weird in my opinion.

for me a good buying experience is quite important and a not so nice customer service can really put me off but in this case the music is so good that I just have to buy it.

this thing really makes me appreciate Ultimae,Fluid Audio, twisted,Aleph Zero and psyshop even more. they just have a really good customer service and the whole process of the order is really nice and smooth and everything is always updated and clear.
+ most of them are just very very nice people.

They are both splendid albums. Bioluminescence was on very high rotation in my house for quite a while after i got it.

Nautica is just in a class of its own. Sub-marine bliss.

btw, it has been a long time since the last Somnia release. wonder what's happening there. i remember it was going to the printers a a few months ago.

good purchase.

Nautica in my mind could be a Somnia release..the artwork and sounds flow with titles like 'Submarine Poetry'

and if you havent yet be sure to check out his free release

'vacation on the balcony'

That's a really nice album. It says temporarily out of stock so are they hoping to have it in stock again at some point?

Not sure if it's because he's moving back to the mainland but indeed there's a problem with communication with Evan at this moment :/           http://www.chillumafia.com

all's good with Evan - just extremely busy moving house, touring a lot and working hard on new music.
